Tayy Tarantino has been hard at work in the studio working on his latest project “Homecoming” due late 2014.
Tayy Tarantino is an American hip hop recording artist, and songwriter from Anchorage, Alaska.
Tayy started his music career by way of singing in the children and youth choir at his local church.
Tayy started rapping at the age of 10. While attending Robert Service High School Tayy formed a rap group and performed in various talent show competitions. Some of his musical influences are J-Cole, Jay-Z, Kanye, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Timberland.
While in his senior year of high school Tayy started to record at a local studio which lead him to releasing his first project, the mixtape “Half Step From Legendary” which was dedicated to his recently deceased grandfather “Otis”. He released 3 music video from the project “Brand New Day” “Radio” and “Dead Presidents Remix” which was a major accomplishment for a local artist at the time . The buzz that was created from the project lead to opportunities to open for national acts such as August Alsina, Ludacris, Nelly, The REJ3CTZ’s, and local rock festival Summer Meltdown.
In 2013 Tayy decided to move to the east coast to further his music career and build a new fan base for his music.
In 2015 Tayy was invited to perform at numerous music showcases at SXSW. While in Austin he shot the video for his single “Stadiums” which showed some of his experiences during the SXSW weekend.
In late 2015 Tayy came back to Anchorage to work with Rawbeatzz to produce his full length LP Homingcoming under the Bad Agenda label to be released in early 2016.
